More good news to report!
This is Johnathon holding Lucy last night! She is still doing well off of the ventilator and taking all of her feeds. She has actually lost a bit of weight - which means she is losing the fluid she was retaining - a good thing. Lucy was so glad to get rid of the tube and now she is grabbing hold of the Aladdin on her nose wanting to get rid of that as well. The very best thing about Lucy being on the Aladdin is that we are able to hold her for the first time. I was able to Kangaroo with Lucy on Wednesday and Johnathon held her last night.
The other huge news with Lucy is that she has been moved into a crib! You can see it a bit in this picture. She is out in the open and able to regulate her own temperature.
This is the first time the girls have been together since they were born - a great moment for all three of us.
Ella continues to grow - last night she was 5lbs3oz. Her cheeks keep getting chubbier! She is pretty in pink with the hat Aunt Rosemary made for her.
