Through The Waters

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. Isaiah 43:2a The journey of Ella and Lucy.

Lucy with her Great Grandma Rockx yesterday. We were very glad that Johnathon's grandmother was able to come and meet her newest great-grand-daughters. Ella and Lucy are lucky enough to have three great grand-parents - Great Grandma Rockx in Tillsonburg, Great Grandma McDonald in Glencoe, and Great Grandpa Raymond in Cornwall.

Lucy continues to do better. She was weighed inside the isolette yesterday and she is now 4lbs 5oz! It is amazing how much she has grown even while being sick. As of last night Lucy is taking 26mL every three hours - and if she keeps digesting, she will be up to 5mL a day until she is at full feeds. She has lost a lot of the fluid she was retaining and is looking so much happier and healthier!

Ella with her Grandma Lee yesterday. She always manages to get her arms out of her blanket! She was weighed last night and is now 4lbs12oz. She is now taking 40mL every three hours and that will also go up today with her new weight. After her bath when she was being dried off, she wasn't pleased and started to cry. We have only heard her cry one other time and so it was good to hear her little lungs (I know we won't always be saying that!). The damage from the tube from the ventilator and her prematurity means that she won't be a loud or frequent crier for a while.
