More good changes - it is wonderful to able to post positive news! On Sunday we finally moved rooms! We had been in the "back room" for ten weeks - where the smallest and sickest babies are cared for - and now we are in the "front room". We are really just a couple of feet away from our old spot but it is a world of difference. As the nurses keep saying - we are getting closer to the door. It is progress! It is also a lot quieter and the lights are able to be turned down. There is less commotion in the front room. 
Great Grandma McDonald was able to visit on Sunday. She is visiting with Lucy in her new crib. We were very glad she was able to come and visit with her new great-granddaughters.
On Friday, after only three days on the Aladdin cap, Lucy moved to high flow oxygen! It is so nice to see her little face after it has been covered up with tubes and the Aladdin for so long. We were not expecting this for a couple of weeks so this was incredibly exciting! She is wearing the hat Aunt Michelle made for her.
Lucy has finally been able to have a bath in the tub! She was being sponge bathed in the isolette when she was well enough before. Now she is able to come out and get really clean. She really did not mind the water at all. You can see some wires attached to her - both girls always have those three moniters on that measure breathing and heartrate. They are replaced after a bath. The girls have their "bath night" on opposite nights. They are also weighed on those nights. On Sunday, Lucy was 4lbs4ozs and she is taking 38mL of milk every three hours.
Ella in a cute little "hoodie" sleeper. Look at those cheeks! She is really starting to enjoy her baths and she is even tolerating getting dried off better these days. Ella loves to sleep but always starts to stir when it is time for feeding. She now gets 46mL every three hours but that will go up with her new weight - 5lbs6oz. Ella continues on the low flow oxygen and the nurses and respiratory therapists are working on turning down the flow rate. She still really needs the oxygen support for the time being.
Both of the girls are doing very well and we are thrilled!
