Lucy with her tongue out. She is really growing and doing well. Everyday she is getting better at holding up her head. We continue to do exercises with her everyday to help her gain strength. Lucy is still only nursing. Lucy and Ella both had their eyes tested last week with completely normal results. This was great news! Ella sitting in her new highchair that arrived from the Netherlands. The chairs are fantastic and Ella has been sitting in hers for a week or so. She loves to be up with everyone else and taking part in the action. With some extra padding, Lucy has been sitting in her chair for the last two days. She also loves the social time.

Ella has been very fun lately. She has just discovered her feet and is completely fascinated. Ella is rolling over fairly regularly now - both from her front to back and back to front. She can't quite do it at will yet but it won't be long. Eating has always been a big struggle with Ella. About a month ago we were working very hard to get each bottle into her but she was still eating less each day than she did when she came home from the hospital. With the encouragement of the nutritionist, we decided to give her a bottle of formula that is designed especially for pre-mature babies once a day. As time went on, it became clear that she prefered the formula. So for the last couple of weeks she has only had formula. Ella is not eating a lot more, but is receiving more calories, and feeding time is much more pleasant.
