Last week was National Nurses Week - and we really want to celebrate the nurses we have known and loved! As anyone who has spent any time in a hospital knows, the nurses make all the difference. The nurses in the NICU were special and we can not thank them enough. At the beginning they explained every procedure and line and reassured us. They always told us the truth, even when it was difficult. The nurses we had at the beginning often came back to check on Ella and Lucy as they grew. They celebrated with us when there was good news and gave us hugs when there was bad news. The nurses got to know the girls and advocated on their behalf when we were not there. We truly loved our nurses! It is an incredibly difficult job - thank a nurse today!

I have to agree with you 100%. The Nurses make all the difference to your experience in a place like NICU where you just dont know what to expect and all you want is your baby to come home with you. We had a great experience with the nurses at Stratford General and now at Grand River after the births of our children - please thank a nurse today for giving so much.
