Through The Waters

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. Isaiah 43:2a The journey of Ella and Lucy.

Saturday, February 24, 2007

We have had a busy couple of weeks. One of the best parts of the last week was the baby shower held for Ella and Lucy at the church on Sunday afternoon. The girls got all dressed up in their beautiful sweaters from Kingston and were on their best behaviour all afternoon. It was a lovely afternoon and we were so glad to introduce the girls to all our friends in Monkton.
One of the best surprises was the community gift of a wagon. It is wooden with a big blue canopy over top. The girls are checking it out in this picture.
They both continue to do well. Lucy is starting to be weaned from her oxygen. We are slowly taking it off for slightly longer periods of time. It will take a week or two but hopefully it will not be long before she is a totally unplugged baby. Lucy is now 9lbs14oz. She is almost totally nursing now with just one or two bottles a day. She is starting to really smile. Ella is growing fast at 13lbs10oz. She is doing very well back on the milk. A lot of people ask how well the girls sleep at night. There are nights when they wake up at 3:30 or 4am and then nights when they wake up at 5 or 6am. So there are no real complaints there. Ella still loves to sleep a lot and Lucy is still nosy and likes to be awake to know what is happening.

You might want to check this out for your expenses for the NICU in 2006.
