Happy New Year to everyone! (It's Johnathon writing today.)
We enjoyed bringing in the new year with our 2 beautiful daughters at St. Joseph's Hospital. There were 2 other families in "Care by Parent" with us, so we had a brief celebration at midnight and then fed the girls.
They are doing well, and we expect to be going home in 5-7 days if there are no new problems. Ella had 2 bad bradycardia spells on Sunday and needed oxygen to recover, but after an x-ray, blood work and other tests, the thought was that she was just having a bad day. She continues to have loose stool, so today they have put her on a soy based formula to see if that would settle her. Ella is now over 9lbs, and is a big girl!
Lucy had her car seat challenge on Sunday, and passed with flying colours. She needed to sit in the car seat for one and a half hours hooked up to the monitor and maintain her vital stats above 90%. This is to ensure that our seats meet all current regulations, each girl fits properly in the seats, and that they can ride home to Monkton with no distress. Tonight we heard Lucy cry for the first time, and I think it surprised her as much as us, to hear an actual cry out of her.
We are very excited for the new year, and anticipate the joy of bringing Ella & Lucy home to introduce them to all of our wonderful friends & family. 2007 will be an amazing year for us, with these 2 special daughters that we love so much! We pray for a blessing on all of your families.

Hi - I am so happy about everything that I am lost for words. It is so exciting that you are writing about car seats and going home. Their great aunt Sandra could not be happier. What a way to start the New Year. I have a feeling this is going to be a very good 2007. Love from Aunt Sandra

What exciting news!!! When I told Zackary he said "Now I can finally meet my friends Lucy and Ella".
We are so excited that you will soon be back in Monkton again. Your long awaited arrival will be the talk of the town!!!
AND Lucy, your long awaited voice must be the newest joy in your parents lives. I remember so well the joy it brought us to finally hear Zackary's cry and we only had to wait a few days for it!!!
