We have hit a bump in the road home. Ella had a difficult weekend with her feeding. We think we are back on track with a special hypo-allergenic formula. When you see Ella, it is hard to imagine that this growing baby would have any concerns, but she is still a pre-mature baby. It is hard work for her to co-ordinate breathing, sucking, and swallowing.
We are still hoping to be home in the next week. Our home-coming will be determined by Ella's digestive system! We already have Lucy's portable oxygen tank sitting in the room ready for her to leave the hospital.
We have been in Care by Parent for nearly a month. Most families are only there for a week. I am pretty tired but am very glad for all the learning we have done. This time has made us confident in our ability to handle their special needs.

Hi Teresa and Johnathan, Lucy and Ella
Sorry to hear you have hit a bump in the road and are not able to bring the girls home to Monkton.
I cannot believe how much the girls have grown. It won't be long and you will be home where you all belong.
I really appreciate you sharing the girls stories with us.
We will continue to pray for you all and with God's help you will be home soon.
The Verhoeve Family
