Through The Waters

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. Isaiah 43:2a The journey of Ella and Lucy.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Ella and Lucy with their special Valentine's Day cookies.

We are so thankful for the love and support we have received over the last six months. We have been overwhelmed with the number of people who have been praying for us, sending us healing thoughts, and hoping for good news for the girls. Through this blog we have become aware of how many people have been wishing Ella and Lucy well. Whether far away or close, we have been so encouraged by your interest in the girls. We have truly experienced love in action with meals showing up, laundry being done, floors being scrubbed, babies being rocked, and parents being able to nap. It is all deeply appreciated.
There have been a couple of Christian school classes in Winnipeg who have taken Ella and Lucy on as their prayer project for the year. Surronding the girls are cards they have received from one of the classes. The girls are wearing beautiful sweaters from Winnipeg as well. What an incredible gift to have all those prayers being lifted up across the country!
While we were living in London, the church in Monkton worked hard to put together the girls' room. Their room got a complete makeover thanks to the hard work of several individuals and the Women's Association. We all walked in the room on the day we came home and saw it for the first time together. It was a moment we had waited for for a long time and it was wonderful to walk in to such a beautiful room. All the clothes and blankets had been washed and put away and all we had to do was worry about the girls. This was an amazing gift.
At night when we are feeding the girls we sit in this rocking chair and look out the window at the snow falling. While we are rocking them we tell them all about the wonderful world they have been born into and the amazing people who have loved them and prayed for them from the moment they were born. Thanks to all of you, Ella and Lucy are well-loved little girls!

We love looking at all your pictures. We thank you for keeping us all up todate through the blog. Dad said that he got to see the girls. It is so nice to see how the girls have growen. We pray that everything continues to go well for your family. It is amazing how many peoples lives the girls have touched. Small communities are wonderful to live in. Everyone is always willing to help each other out by lending a hand.
I am sure we will get to meet the girls sometime in the near future.
Until then God Bless your wonderful family.

We love your family. Just a couple days ago, we were saying how much we'd love to just pick up and fly out there to see you all! Ella and Lucy are just beautiful. I'll have to find some small enough Canucks jerseys for the playoff run this year...
