Ella loves to get into everything these days! She is starting to walk more and more and is busy exploring the world. Her absolute favourite activity is climbing the stairs. She has learned to open the door and can get to the stairs by herself. Needless to say, our living room has lots of baby safety gates! Ella is now 18lbs6oz. She has passed her last eye exam and her hearing test. She is still not drinking or eating a lot, but she is growing. I attribute this to the fact that she loves to sleep. Ella has two naps in the day and sleeps all through the night. She has done this since about two months after we came home from the hospital.

Lucy now weighs 14lbs11oz. She is growing very slowly - an ounce a week on a very good week. This is ironic, as she is a good eater. Lucy will eat just about anything we give her. She is now taking a bottle or two a day with pediasure plus (an enriched formula). The opthamologist was very happy with her eye exam, saying that while she will likely need glasses, there is no indication she needs them at the moment. Unfortunately, Lucy did not pass her latest hearing test. It is possible that she was just not developmentally able to turn her head in response to sound quite yet. The test will be repeated in early December. While her sister loves to sleep, Lucy does not. Until about a week ago, Lucy would be up two or three times a night. Over the last week, she is starting to sleep for longer stretches and occasionally she has only gotten up once. Knock on wood that this continues!
