All is well!
Both girls had surgery for their PDAs this morning and both went very well. Lucy went first and the surgeon said that she had quite a large duct opening. Ella was second and while her PDA was not as large it was still significant. Now the issue of the open ducts is finished and we will never have to worry about them opening up again. They are sedated and on morphine right now to help them heal and recover and it will be a couple of days till we see the girls squirming and stretching. We are glad that everything went so well and are grateful for your prayers. Now we hope to see improvement in their oxygen levels over the next couple of weeks.

So glad to hear that all went well...we were praying for you and send love from my whole (Ireland) family.
It's hard to imagine the doctors operating on such tiny organs...what miracle workers they are!

Mom was here today and she couldn't stop talking about your girls. She said that they were even more beautiful in person.

We're so glad to hear all went well! This diary will mean a lot to your family as time marches on. The prime focus is on children getting passed all the odds and when your children are okay, all is well with the world. We continue to have positive thoughts and prayers for your family and all the medical team!
