Through The Waters

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. Isaiah 43:2a The journey of Ella and Lucy.

Anna is getting more and more cute everyday! She is sitting up very well now and can roll easily from her stomach to her back. She can't roll back without assistance. Her favourite way to get around is to be on her back and to push with her legs and go backwards. She "scootches" like this all the time and can end up all the way across the room. She is loving eating and has three big meals a day. She gained just over a pound last month and is now 13lbs4oz. Hurrah! She is still below the 3rd percentile for weight but she is a perfectly happy healthy baby.

With the nice weather we have been outside a lot! The backyard has been a lot of fun. We all needed to get outside.

The girls are starting to play together a bit more and talk a bit more to one another. It will be fun to watch their relationship grow.

Last weekend we were in Glencoe and the girls enjoyed playing outside with cousing Julie.

Lucy was weighed a week ago and she is now 19 1/2 pounds. For the last year we keep expecting her to weigh 20 pounds but she stubbornly stays on her own very slow growth pattern. She is crawling really well now and is pulling herself to stand with a lot more ease. She still does not like to bear weight in her legs, but we are seeing some improvement in that area as well. Lucy is getting quite brave and gets down off the couch by herself and lunges herself towards Ella all the time. She is always paying attention to the needs of others around her and wants to be sure that everyone is included. The other day Johnathon said that Lucy was cute, and needing to be fair, he told Ella she was cute too. Lucy then said "Anna" and Johnathon said she was cute too. She followed up by saying, "Mommy" and Johnathon had to assure her that Mommy was cute too! Lucy is just starting to string a couple of words together.

Ella had a great time in the backyard with the snow. She spent time kicking, hitting, and stabbing the snow - all her own words. She was quite dismayed when she went out one day and all the snow was gone. Ella would go to the library everyday if it was up to her. She still loves to read and now likes to look at books by herself when someone isn't able to read to her. Ella is talking a lot, but sometimes we have to really pay attention to hear what she is saying. She has trouble with "s" so she always calls her sleepers - leepers and her slippers - lippers. Ella calls Lucy - Lulu for the most part.

Anna got to go outside as well. She loves to watch her sisters. It won't be long now until she is in the mix with the other two!
